"If you're seeking a peaceful camping experience in Norway, the Fjellstova Ørskogfjellet Campingplatz is worth considering. Located in the Ørskog region, this serene campsite offers generous pitches, a spacious restaurant, reliable Wi-Fi, and courteous Dutch ownership that ensures a welcoming ambiance. The surrounding area is renowned for its captivating hiking trails, while the winter transforms the landscape into a wonderland of cross-country skiing trails."
Nice and Dutch reception, clear explanation. Wifi and electricity are included in the price, now NOK 235 for a night. Everything is provided including washing machine and dryer, NOK 50 per machine. Places are paved (gravel). For the little ones there is a go-kart track, but there are stairs ;) There are also several houses for rent. The Dynjafossen can be admired after approximately 45 minutes of walking. There is also a gas station and various. Tesla charging stations.
We ate at the restaurant here during a long afternoon of driving. It was the perfect place for a late lunch, serving generous portions of home-style food. We shared one order and were very satisfied. The highlight was the A+ service from the owners (a woman and her daughter). They were so lovely; we wished we had more time to stay and chat with them! Highly recommend.

Stayed one night in a camper van. Cheapest nights stay we’ve had so far. Sadly we arrived to late for the restaurant. Food menu looked delicious and not expensive. Toilet facilities are modern and clean and the owners are some of the nicest people we have met. Thank you for your travel advice . 😘

First place in Norway where we got challenged for wearing a mask indoors. The guy was Dutch so that didn’t surprise us since they have a laissez faire attitude towards Covid and, more annoyingly, always mind other people’s business. Should have turned around right there and then, but unfortunately we made the mistake to order some food anyway since we were hungry. The food and service was below Norwegian standard. He brought the food out to our table but made me walk all the way across the restaurant to pick up utensils, instead of bringing those along with the food as usual. My wife’s croque monsieur had tomatoes on it. Last time I checked a croque monsieur is a sandwich made of ham and cheese. The fish in my ‘fish and chips’ was from the frozen food section in the local supermarket. Fries in both meals were probably fried in old oil since my wife suffered from a bad stomach the rest of the afternoon. It was snackbar food at best, although I’ve had better in those. Last but not least

If you are looking for a "when in Norway eat where the locals eat or try some traditional Norwegian fare" this place is excellent! The "Ball Middag" is the best but their meatball dinner is excellent too.

Excellent service, all the facilities and wonderful food! They excel in attention and kindness. An extra plus for us traveling in a Tesla since there is a supercharger station, but also possibility to charge other electric vehicles.
