Lovely camping and caravan park. Excellent cafe, showers and launderette. Great for canoeing and paddlboarding as right on the Rhein. Day visitors also welcome.

This is a beautifully located campsite. Staff were vey friendly and there's a great bar/terrace with lovely food and drinks. The pitches are really close together, more akin to a music festival than a campsite. As a result, on several occasions other campers tripped over my lines during the night and in the end I had to tie white clothes to the lines to aid visibility. Additionally, there are two showers units for men, which isn't suitable at all given the number of people who were on the site (100+?) the night we stayed.

What a pearl of a camping! A relaxed atmosphere at the Swiss side of the (swimmable) Rhein and very quite despite the full occupation. Friendly reception, friendly pricing.

Amazing camping ON the Rhein. Very comfortable, lively and a lot of children playing. Also youth who go camping for a day or two. In the evening it does not get too cold and there are no lots noises when you want to sleep when it gets dark. A lot of stuff to do. Go check it out for only 15 euro per person, per day. Check out is at 11 in the morning!

Visiting a friend in hospital, I thought about going to a hotel in Basel but decided to save some money by staying at the campsite by the Rhein at Kaiseraugst. It was a good decision. My tent was just 2 meters from the waters edge and l went swimming every day. There is also an open air pool on the campsite about 50 meters square and it's great to alternate between the river and the pool. If you want to save money on a hot morning shower, you can use the shower by the pool. The water is lukewarm in August. If you take the time to lift your eyes towards the sky, you might see a heron or two sitting on their nests at the top of a two trees in the campsite.
