Coniston Hall

Stayed here for 1 night whilst walking the Cumbria Way. The reception and shop was supposed to be open until 8pm but we arrived at 6.45pm to find it all closed. We pitched up anyway and a few other campers had found the same that the reception was closed. The showers and washrooms were basic but fine for our needs. Showers need 50p to activate. Glad of the tumble dryer -70p to use - as it was quite a wet and windy day! We were there when it wasn’t that busy - only a handful of tents pitched.

Festival vibe campsite a stones throw away from the waters edge. No electrical hook ups, no set lots for tents or campers. Bit noisy sometimes but if you dont mind that, fantastic site location.
