Nice campsite with trees (for the wind;). Close to Galway! All facilities are there. In the village (3km) are shops, pubs, a beach and a small shop. Sanitary was overcrowded because there was an group camp. The lady of the campsite was very kind and helpful. The man who cleaned the bathroom was not friendly because it was dirty?

The site is in a great location. We were warmly greeted and shown to our spot which was ideal. I was going to give 3 or 4 stars as the facilities need a deep deep clean but they are spacious and otherwise ideal. I spoke to 3 staff - 2 female staff were lovely. An older gentleman gave my kid and his friend a row for something they didn’t do (something to do with toilet roll) and when I defended them he just shrugged and said he had to blame someone - picking on a couple of 4 year olds says more about the adult than the kids! When I told the guy they were just playing he said if I thought that was playing I could also leave. They were literally playing at the ping pong table with a couple of cars so I have no idea what this guys problem was but I spoke to a couple of other people staying there and they said he also gave out to them for random things. He was extremely unpleasant and I actually have no idea who he was but I won’t be returning if that is how he addresses his guests, especia

I stayed for one night in my micro camper and really enjoyed it. There was a real friendly buzz about the campsite. There was a huge variety of tents, caravans and campervans. Kids were enjoying the play area. The toilet block was clean. I judge all campsites by their showers .... and this was better than most. The cost was very reasonable. Camping is a great alternative to the high cost hotel rates. I was actually on a two day fishing trip and had booked for two nights but we lost the second day due to bad weather. I went back to the campsite and after a shower and a "power nap", I decided to go back home. There was a lot of rain in the overnight weather forecast.

The campsite was ok and in a good location for a trip to Mayo. The loo block was ok as well but always felt like it could have had a deep clean. It was quiet when we were there but still a fair bit of thru traffic to a ? Building site or ? Farm along the track from our site. It’s quite “ hedgy” so there were loads and loads of midges . Overall ok is a best as I can say .
