Superb campsite! Beautiful location next to the small river, super friendly staff, nice amenities - a very nice place to stay for a night or two when in the area!

A small quiet campsite by the river off the tourist main routes, but surrounded by beautiful nature. We booked cabin "Østerdalstua" with private bathroom just by a handshake agreement (e-mail was lost, but chat with the owner on the website worked) and we arrived straight from the airport with high anticipation if everything would work out. Our fears were unnecessary, everything was perfect: a cosy, clean and well-equipped historic cabin, a friendly owner and manager in one person, an exceptional price/quality ratio by Norwegian standards, forests full of blueberries and mushrooms all around. In all bedrooms there is heating, the beds and mattresses are not brand new, the toilet with shower is not top - but we were aware of that. Make sure to bring your own sheets and bedlinen or you pay extra (this is our experience for all Norway accommodations). Everything makes up for the large living room with fireplace and especially the pleasant feeling of the cabin, the camp, the owner and the surrounding nature. A few kilometres away is the famous Sohlbergplassen viewpoint (this is what drew us to the area), but especially the drive across the Rondalen plateau and then through the Atna valley is breathtaking.

Absolutely fabulous. The nature there is awesome. Varieties of cabins suitable to the expectations. One can of course pitch up his own make shift accomodation and drive in a camper. The gentleman who manages or own the camping ?? Is very friendly and polite If you travel through Rondane I would recommend to consider staying there for a night or more

Amazing camp with very nice host :)

It’s a nice place but facilities need to be improved. There’s not enough toilets and showers, just one sink to wash dishes. The toilet is dirty. It was ok but I wouldn’t look forward to going back there...
