Spacious campsite with direct access to the beach, bar, restaurant, barbecue area, children's playground, games room and great walking and cycling trails.
For lovers of water sports and walking, there's a beach over 8 km long opposite the campsite, which is just a few minutes from the famous kite-surfing spot at Merville.
Super place just behind the dunes, also good for tents, absolutely friendly staff. 👍

Also in 2021 and at the meanwhile 5th stop on this place: Everything is still TOP! 🔝

Update August 2023: Place still TOP. This time it was tight without a reservation, but it was still ok for a small car and a tent without electricity. The WiFi is often mercilessly overloaded. Regardless, it was, is and will always be beautiful here!

Very friendly
Well maintained grounds.
Spotless shower block.
Superb views with direct access to a beautiful sandy beach.

We were stranded here due to a broken car - and this was the best that could happen to us! Camping de la Mer is a wonderful place right by the beautiful sea with private access to the beach. The owners of the campsite are extraordinary friendly and helpful. Every question we had was responded with what we needed to know and we were well looked after! The campsite has a nice playground, is quiet and has clean and functioning washrooms and showers and even small bathtubs for babies. A bakery service with fresh baguette and croissants comes to the campsite every morning during summer season. Merville-Franceville is a cute little town with nice shops and a relaxing athmosphere. We will definitely return to Camping de la Mer!

A very nice and quiet camping site, with a private access to the beach. The amazing sunset is really worth staying up for!
The owners are very kind and helpful, the facilities are proper and clean (free shower, sinks, toilets and dishwashing station, the laundromats require a fee).
There is a small children's playground.
The camping ground is surrounded by the dunes and therefore, there isn't much wind, which makes it very warm on a sunny day!

One of the worst experiences I personally had at a campsite! Sign in bathroom indicates showers closed at 9 pm but apparently it is 8 pm. No one speaks English, which to me is quite frankly strange since you are in the tourism industry. Nice campsite but would not see me again.

Very happy with our visit! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Could not be happier with our choice for a one night camping stop. We parked right next to the beach and had a wonderful view of the sunset. For a longer stay I would recommend to park your car somewhere else because the parking spaces next to the beach are from small rocks and everywhere else is grass. The staff is very friendly, the showers and toilets are clean and there are even a lot of sinks for dish and fish cleaning. There is also a WWII bunker you can see right on the property!! If you need something to buy, there is a small town right next. In the morning also came a man with van full of freshly baked baguettes and croissants.
