Great camping place with nice and friendly staff. Walking to the town of Stoufen, close to the pool, quiet and relaxing. The proximity to the train tracks almost don't bother.

Stayed a couple of nights. Unfortunately this site seems to gear towards the more permanent residence of people. Where we set up we was the only touring people in the section. The rest was permanent campers. Not very good to mix touring and permanent. Best idea is to have touring at the front end if site. Where they would feel more like on holiday The whole site is looking dated and is in need. Of a paint job and some TLC. As well as a more permanent separate cafe and separate shop . Out of the facilities which there was 3 areas only 1 washing machine working (area 2) and 1 tumble dryer (area 1) the staff on the whole nice and friendly.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. Made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Staufen itself is a very pretty town full of good restaurants. You get free tickets for the bus and trains throughout the region, also free access to the local pool close by. Small shop on site where you can order bread and other things if required. Can't wait to return. Will learn German before next visit which will make the experience better. Most bar/restaurants speak English but menu's etc are in German. Definitely visit the Hotel Sonne for a great Italian meal.
