Really enjoyed this site , nice people, fab location and good value . Busy rd nearby bit that didn't worry me as the tranquility of the Bridgewater to Taunton canal was 5 mins walk away . Good pub within staggering distance too .

Least friendly unnecessary welcome. I understand as per the notice they have family commitments however then just email or send a text with the gate code. Felt like we were a huge inconvenience and as it happens we were having a bad day too. Great pub in walking distance. Noisy campsite with traffic. Ok but wouldn't go back

Lovely and piecefull nice location good toilet and shower block, well maintained grounds

We bought a tent on the Thursday and was very excited to use it so we decided to find somewhere not too far from home (being Weston-super-Mare), and found this little gem. We were greeted the owner who was very helpful, he directed us through to the orchard and allowed us to choose our pitch and we couldn't have picked a better one, the last of the sun in the evening fell on us. The canal is a short walk, about 2 mins, so early the following day we kitted up and wheeled our kayaks down to the water, a fairly easy launch area, and we headed off out into the countryside for an amazing paddle. On both evenings we were here we popped into Taunton where we had a good variety of places to choose from for dinner. Then back to our tent where the friendly peacock visited us for a quick catch up and we indulged in the onsite made Scrumpy, which is absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a quiet get away I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be booking again next season.
