We were here on January 25 with 1 camper and despite 5 days, the bar was still open in the evening. Excellent campsite, easily accessible and Trevelez is a 15-minute walk and well worth a visit. The Eldorado of the Serrano ham.
Show originalA very rural campsite. In the restaurant you can have breakfast and order delicious sandwiches to take on your hiking excursions. The toilets are always clean.
The staff is very nice, we have already gone two years in a row and I am sure that next year we will repeat.
Show originalWe have passed a wonderful bridge at Camping Trevélez. It is a rural campsite, so it gives the feeling of free camping, since there are no hedges dividing the plots and the views are all mountains and vegetation. It is true that to go to the bathroom you have to walk a bit, but it is something that is common in campsites, unless you get a plot near the bathroom. His thing is to go with some light if you are going to visit the bathroom at night and that's it. We got a plot in the upper part and it was wonderful, because our intention was to see the shower of stars and we had the opportunity to see some shooting stars (a couple of them quite large) and we enjoyed the sound of the crickets and the sky full of stars. Campsite with a small pool that you can enjoy without crowds, very quiet. Very friendly staff, very rich breakfasts. I'm going to miss those toasts, what a delicious bread! To put a snag, it is true that the bathroom facilities are somewhat outdated, but they are clean and fulfill their mission, it is nice to take a hot shower when you arrive from doing a route or visiting the towns in the area. The showers are equipped with a basket to put your gel and shampoo and two hangers to put your clothes or towel, for example. They also have some plastic benches in case you need to sit or support something. That said, the facilities may be somewhat outdated, but for me it is more important that they are clean and fulfill their function. We have only tried the breakfasts from the bar, since lunchtime has caught us on an excursion and since it closes at 9:30 p.m., we had dinners in the town (which is a few minutes by car) It has been fantastic to enjoy cool nights and sunny days. In addition, setting up the tent has been made easier for us than in other campsites, since although the plots are dirt (there is grass, but it has not yet fully recovered) it is not very complicated to drive the pegs. I hope we can return next year as we still have some routes to do and some towns to visit.
