What a wonderful and unique experience! Sommarøy is the "Caribbean of the Arctic". A beautiful, cozy, well-tendered hotel with all the comforts including sauna, jacuzzi and adjacent ocean swimming, a fantastic restaurant with a big selection of mostly Italian wines, kids games, meeting rooms and most importantly...the midnight sun! We will never forget the experience fo4 which we are greatly thankful and we hope to come back one day for the winter version. The car trip from Tromsø takes about an hour and is as good as the stay

Beautiful location. Sunlight was creating great images on the scenic ocean view. Stopped in for dinner and surprised by high quality food and very friendly server. Thanks for the beer recommendation.

We stayed one night unplanned and it turns out to be the highlight of our trip.the hotel has clean and modern room. The breakfast buffet (included) was one of the best. We could easily go anywhere in the island to chase after the Northern lights. The island is beautiful at sun rise and sunset. It was an amazing experience.

Coming from tromsø and stayed here for one night. Went out in our rental car and saw the northern lights in like 1 hour. That’s really good and we saw it multiple times. Would definitely recommend coming here. Breakfast was really good with tons of options and an orange juice maker with fresh oranges.Didn’t go to the restaurant because it was quite expensive so we bought frozen pizza at the local grocery store.
