Camping Kautenbach is located in the heart of one of the most beautiful walking areas in Luxembourg. Covertly set in a stunning green valley on the shores of the Clerve River, our campsite is completely immersed in peace and tranquillity.

Great camping and very polite and accommodating staff. Good and fresh food served and the area is simply lovely. I wish there was a place to swim, the river is not ideal for it. I can’t wait to go back there.
Went here in 2019!
A friend from Belgium recommended me this camping site during my road trip around Western Europe.
A bit overpriced but that's to be expected from Luxembourg, the staff let us in after their supposed closing hours which was very kind of their part. The camping is quite clean which is a big plus. Not affordable for all pockets but I'd still very much recommend it to everyone, had a great time here.

This camping is clean and a sanitary block is always near. The showers have a six minute timer but I found that to be sufficient as long as you don't start to space out.
The environment you're in is beautiful, you are in a valley in the middle of a forest next to a river. Usually this place would be very cute.
Unfortunately while I was there the place flooded during the 2021 floods. We were asked to move our tent to a higher pitch because it was likely that the pitch we were initially camping on would be flooded. The other, higher pitch, also flooded: we were awoken by our neighbors that we'd better pack up if we want to keep dry at 6 am. The tunnel to leave the campsite by car was completely underwater so we were stuck. That day the whole campsite was under water and everyone found themselves in the bistro higher on the mountain.
The way the camping owner handled this is great. The pods that are not flooded could be used and everyone else could stay at the closed hotel in the nearb

Short: Beautiful camping, very clean showers and toilets, very friendly staff & delicious food.
Long: Stayed a night while hiking the Lee Trail as Kautenbach is at the end/start of the trail. The trainstation is a ±25min walk from the campsite which comes in pretty handy when travelling by train. Once I had arrived I was welcomed very friendly and was helped at once. The campsite itself has lots of green and is beautifully maintained. The showers have a 6minute timer, for water saving purposes, that you can pause twice. Both showes and toilets were very clean and there is toiletpaper available. Kitchen is open until 9pm but they friendly ask to order by 8:30pm which is understandable. The food itself was delicious, I recommend the Rumpsteak.
Bakery service is available if you order before 5pm. There is also a small shop on site in case you forgot or ran out of something, as there is no market in Kautenbach itself.

Nice campsite to stop by nice walking routes average price, very friendly staff there is a shop open outside the season with products for reasonable prices. For children there are some playgrounds especially quiet beautiful surroundings.
Lovely camping. We stayed in the pod. It was heated nicely with a small heater. It was really calm and quiet. Good breakfast and you can have dinner until 9pm even without reservations. Lovely owner. Beautiful place
